Meet your Maker.
As a child, I often heard, a frightening retort,
one day you’ll meet your maker.
a fear of death and hell the underlying thought.
But elsewhere in the scripture,
I read that God is love.
That all good things would come to he ,
who seeks the truth of kingdoms far above.
So look at my dilemma,
Is my maker to be feared,
Are parents evil doers, who will
cast you out as soon as you are reared.
Or, is a father and creator,
the one abiding source.
of faith and truth and love of men,
to be drawn in and held in close accord.
The day I met my maker,
I wasn’t in a grave.
But deep in prayer with one unseen,
that one to whom my heart I gave.
There wasn’t any fear at all,
There wasn’t any doubt.
His love of me was all me soul could stand,
His radiance shone through then out.
So never fear loss of self,
its just another door.
A door who’s name is Jesus Christ,
our saviour through his sacrifice so pure.
